    BLUE BISHOPS

    The Blue Bishops, through their hard-edged rhythm ‘n’ blues rock music, have built a reputation both for their studio albums and live performances. Radio 2’s Paul Jones has called their studio work, ‘Superb’ and their last album In the Red was co-produced by legendary producers John Leckie and Stu Epps.

    DIRTY MARTINI
    A band that pleases everyone.. Dirty Martini Swing Band play tributes to some of the top artists. With a gendre of Swing, Jazz, Funk, Soul, Pop and Reggae the band has an appeal to everyone who enjoys good live music.

    SKEDADDLES
    Playing a selection of choice covers from bands including Kings of Leon, Sublime, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Van Morrison, The Kinks, Stealers Wheel, Daft Punk, Arctic Monkeys, plus many more. A current set list is available upon request. Members of the band have a wealth of experiences ranging from playing for BBC Radio 2 and Sky as well as supporting a wealth of artist such as Katie Melua, The Whalers, The Specials, Edwin Collins, Kula Shaker and Reef.

    JOHN BENTLEY
    Best known as the member of the 80s band SQUEEZE when John played bass. Although they split up in 1982 they reformed three years later. In 2007 John toured the UK and US and more recently played in East Preston at the village open air concert in 2012 and at the club only last November. Enjoy the entertainment again on the 28th February at the club.

    SNAKEBITE FRED
    Whether it’s performing in the circus, on stage or at an event, Fred brings his unique style of comedy to entertain, amaze and amuse. His skills range from juggling, unicyling, slackrope, fire, magic and illusions, and of course, comedy! Whatever Fred is doing to entertain, he can’t help but bring to it his infectious style of comedy. “If you can breathe, you’ll laugh” blah blah

    RED BUTLER
    The band has already been favourably reviewed by Blues Matters magazine.  Alex and Jane played this last year's event following which they secured a booking at Colne (fringe) Festival. During the course of the weekend a  their EP was handed to Paul Jones (Radio 2) and a track was played live on the R&B show. They also play awesome timeless classics.

    THE ACE TONES
    The Ace Tones are a Bognor Regis based Rock n Roll band, acclaimed for their accurate renditions of classic Rock n Roll numbers and their excellent musicianship. Rockin' Colin, recently seen on Britain's Got Talent and X-Factor, is the frontman who provided the lead vocals and entertaining show. The five members of the band played classic covers including The Crickets, Elvis, Cliff Richard, Buddy Holly, Everly Brothers and The Shadows.

    DESPERATE MEASURES
    The local band will be playing covers including T Rex, Cream, Beatles, Stones, Wilson Picket, Steelers Wheel, Sultans Of Swing, Monkees, Elvis to name a few and will be returning to the East Preston RBL club on 2nd May and 26th September.

    BIG BLUE
    They don't churn out the usual song covers (you won't be singing along to "Hi Ho Silver Lining") but if you're looking for music that'll have you reaching for your air guitar and shimmyin' and shakin' your booty, come along! A night not to be missed.

    MICK KOUMIS & LUCKY JACKS
    A four-piece band from Littlehampton with their own brand of rock 'n' roll and reggae. Fronted by Mick Koumis they play a mixture of re-worked classic covers as well as some of their own tunes.THE LUCKY JACKS are sometimes joined on bass by the famous Johnny Bentley from Squeeze.

    FATBOYFAT
    Delivered an awesome night of fun, laughter and entertainment as Fatboyfat puts on a tribute to Elvis complete with quiff and costumes! In between the acts he was busy spinning the sounds as he took to being MC and DJ.

    DESPERATE MEASURES
    The local band will be playing covers including T Rex, Cream, Beatles, Stones, Wilson Picket, Steelers Wheel, Sultans Of Swing, Monkees, Elvis to name a few and will be bringing their music to the East Preston RBL club on 8th November.

    MARK JONES
    Mark was back at the East Preston Royal British Legion Club in March with his unique style playing many dance favorites joined by his daughter Catherine. 

    MASQUERADE
    The female trio were entertaining during the festive Christmas bring a cheer to east Preston!

    CAROL RAY
    Carol was very popular and performed Sade, Cee Lo Green, Mary Wells, Olly Murs, Duffy, Amy Winehouse, Jessie J and more! 

    CHECKERS
    Checkers revisited the club after a break of 3 years. Fronting the band is still Geoff with the additions of two new musicians Doug on lead and Colin on Bass. 

    STEEL STRUM
    The duo have played a range of popular modern and classic tunes with their unique interpretation enhanced with guitar and carribean style steel drum.

    WHO SLAPPED JOHN
    The exciting ,clean sound of early rock and roll brought into the 21st century with authentic flash, new country and vocal and instrumental swagger.

    BACKBEAT
    They returned to playing tributes from the 80s and classics that everyone enjoys listening and dancing to when they appear live at the RBL Social Club.

    VOLTZ
    The band that headline the very successful Party On The Green played covers from the 70s and 80s as well as some vintage rock and roll. They will be back to the delight again. Watch this space!

    IAN JAMES
    Young and inspiring IAN JAMES performed many modern covers including a Robbie Williams tribute.

    TARO
    The local band returned to play a variety of music both dancing classics, smoochies and instumental hits made famous by Jean Michelle Jare, The Ventures and The Shadows. They continue to visit the club and provide a night of good entertainment.

    SHAKE RATTLE AND BONES
    The four piece rock and roll covers band performed hits mainly from the 50s and 60s and other tributes that everyone liked dancing to.

    POLYGON 66
    The Brighton band formed by Dave Cresdee included a wide repertoire including popular standards from across several decades which provided a very enjoyable evening.

    ZUFFLE
    Shoreham based duo Phil and Mark perform covers including Free, Robert Palmer, Tom Petty, Beatles, Bryan Adams, REM, Steve Harley, Eric Clapton, Santana, Van Morrison, Oasis, Ce Lo Green, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Police, Kings Of Leon and Deep Purple. 

    RACE NIGHT
    The bets came in fast and thick. Paul and Shelly the fun dad and daughter team hosted the night which drew in many people who enjoyed the races that went on well until closing time!

    PITT SISTERS

    Real sisters and real talent! The Pitt Sisters were asked by Creole records to appear in the video for the single 'Place in the Sun' with Sinita, Erasure, Hot Chocolate, and other stars for the Jamaican hurricane appeal. Sally, Sam and Susie provided a great night of entertainment for us. 

    NEVADA KING is ELVIS
    A well supported evening on Bank Holiday Saturday evening 4th May proved to be very popular once again. The act included many of the favourites like Jail House Rock, Teddy Bear, Hound Dog and the night finished with dancing and fun.
     
    St. Georges Week Celebrations
    Whatever you drink the 7th one was FREE during the 7 days leading up to and including St. Georges Day. You just had to keep the receipt showing the purchase. Collecting SIX receipts meant the 7th was FREE!

    Any draft or bottled drinks, wine or spirits qualified and many members enjoyed toasting St.George with that free drink!
